“Are you an Adaptive Organization?”

Navigating cultural norms and the political landscape of your company takes deliberate leadership, as well as careful thought, time, empathy, and courage. What we call “Adaptive Organizations” share five key characteristics to promote healthy, happy, and innovative organizational workplace cultures.

In this session, we’ll discuss those five key traits that lead to success. We’ll then consider how your company already integrates these traits, and how we can maximize the benefits. We’ll develop—or enhance—a plan to increase your own leadership and adaptability, and bring all of that and more to your staff, your environment, and your business.

Chapter 2

“Professional Management Habits for Success”

What is your individual definition of success? How do you view success from your perspective as a business manager, owner, or founder?

What personal and professional traits have gotten you this far, and what new habits could you adopt to enhance your success? What bad habits are getting in the way of your goals? In this session, we’ll take an in-depth look at these questions, and work on developing an action plan for you to grow your personal abilities and nurture successful behaviors in your staff.

Chapter 3

“The Intergenerational Workplace”

Right now, our organizations are run primarily by Baby Boomers and members of Generation X. The Baby Boomers and Gen Xers, though, are retiring at a rate of approximately 10,000 professionals per day. By the year 2025, the Millennial generation will occupy almost 75 percent of all professional positions in the workplace. It’s turnover that’s very real, very imminent, and probably something you are already experiencing.

A struggle faced by business leaders today is the reality that the Millennial generation operates very differently. Older generations view this cohort very negatively, describing them as lazy, entitled, self-absorbed, and irresponsible. But we know this to be true: Millennials are the most misunderstood and diverse generation in history. In this workshop, we’ll learn more about the real Millennials—the advantages to having them on your team and the unique qualities of this generation—and develop strategies to successfully put them to work in your business.
